Early Bird Deadline this Mothers’ Day

May 1st, 2021

The ‘Early Bird’ discounted entry fee ends at 11:59 PM EDT this Sunday evening, May 9. We’re excited to discover all of the original music that has been submitted to this year’s NewSong Music Competition so far!

From these early entries, we will select one ‘Early Bird’ finalist, who will advance to this year’s live performance showcase and competition finals, which will be hosted later this year by our presenting sponsor Citizen Vinyl in beautiful Asheville, NC on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

All entrants will remain in the running for the remaining finalist spots, which will be announced later in the year. 

All you need is an MP3 of each of your songs you’d like to submit, and a non-mobile device to upload your work. OR you can  go ahead and stick a CD or thumb drive with the song files in the mail with your contact info and a check or money order to our address:

Production quality of the recording

is not a determining factor for consideration in the contest

• • • • There is no limit to how many songs you may submit, so enter often and early to play the odds and become a finalist to win the 2021 Grand Prize!

 

• • • • This year, each entrant will also receive a 10% discount on a vinyl pressing project at Citizen Vinyl, this year’s presenting sponsor. It’s a savings of at least $200!

 

This year’s NewSong Music Competition

🏆 Grand Prize Winner 🏆 will receive:

 

• • A fully funded, six-song EP, recorded and mixed at Citizen Studios and released on the NewSong Recordings label

 

• • A featured paid performance at Arts Brookfield’s Summer Concert Series in New York City in the summer of 2022 (date TBD)

 

• • 500 x 12” vinyl records (gatefold, full-color jacket w/ sleeve) of their grand prize EP, pressed at Citizen Vinyl

 

🥈 The two (2) Award Round Runners-Up will each receive a vinyl package of 300 x 12″ records (single full-color jacket with sleeve), pressed at Citizen Vinyl.
